Cape Town Attractions
Cape Town is the all-in-one holiday city which offers interesting, relaxing and memorable vacation experiences no matter what time of the year you choose to visit. Book a few nights in one of our Mountain Marina apartments at the V&A Waterfront and use it as your convenient, central home-base from which to explore the world famous tourist attractions.
Table Mountain
Cape Town owes much of its heritage and modern development to Table Mountain - one of the most visited and photographed mountains in the world. Flanked by Devil's Peak and Lion's Head, Table Mountain watches over the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans as tourists and locals ascend and descend the mountain - either by foot or by cable car - on every day that the sun chooses to shine down upon it. No visit to Cape Town is complete without a trip to the top of Table Mountain.
Robben Island
A short distance offshore from Cape Town lies Robben Island - best known for its prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years. Visit the island and see for yourself the conditions in which this iconic former president of South Africa was made to live. There are regular ferry trips between the V&A Waterfront and Robben Island.
Kirstenbosch
The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens have been around since 1913, and has the rare characteristic of being home to indigenous plants only. Take a stroll along one of the many lush garden pathways and enjoy the fresh Cape air while you plan your trip to Cape Point.
Cape Point
Cape Point is situated within the Southern section of Table Mountain National Park, the Cape of Good Hope entrance.
Situated at the junction of two of earth's most contrasting water masses - the cold Benguela current on the West Coast and the warm Agulhas current on the East Coast , the Cape of Good Hope is popularly perceived as the meeting point of the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans. Views are spectacular and you’ll find yourself reflecting on the astounding beauty of the point.
Winelands
Summer in the Cape Winelands is also synonymous with harvest season and for the freshest locally grown produce and homemade products visit our wonderful farm stalls and packing co-op´s. Exciting activities such as berry, cherry, grape and other fruit picking tours can be enjoyed at various fruit farms. As our name suggests, the Cape Winelands is the largest wine producing region in the Western Cape. With a selection of over 200 cellars to choose from, you are guaranteed to taste some of the finest wines in the world. Beaches

From the family beaches on the False Bay coastline to the trendy Clifton beaches on the Atlantic Seaboard - you're sure to find a stretch of sand that suits your fancy.
Aquila Safari Experience
Since the 4-star Aquila Private Game Reserve was founded, its ethos and that of our team of dedicated staff, has always been to educate guests on the importance of wildlife conservation, how it affects us all and what we as individuals can do to protect it and indeed the environment.
Aquila is not yet another luxury game reserve and lodge, its primary purpose is to offer an educational experience to all who visit in the hope that knowledge will enrich our understanding of the importance of living in harmony with Mother Nature.
Over the years, Aquila Private Game Reserve has gone to massive efforts and expense to source and re-introduce wildlife into the Cape region so that local residents and visitors alike can benefit from the same and therefore we are proud to offer a real safari for the first time in 250 years.
Aquila is especially proud of it’s efforts of reintroducing lions and lion cubs that were saved from a doomed ‘canned lion’ fate. The support from industry, local and international media has been outstanding and reiterates our ongoing efforts and stance against animal cruelty – such as the despicable canned lion hunting industry. Aquila’s lions thrive in their massive sanctuary while enjoying the breathtaking terrain of mountains, valleys, rivers and kloofs.
In another conservation effort, Aquila currently offers visitors a complimentary educational introduction to our cheetahs, highlighting the plight of the free ranging cheetah and their critically diminishing numbers. It’s important to note that the cheetahs were captive bred and not ‘born free’ nor do they form part of Aquila’s game drive and the experience is strictly controlled and in the interest of cheetah survival worldwide.
Central to conservation is education and to this end Aquila regularly invites, free of charge, various under privileged schools to the reserve to experience this first hand.
